This is another important aspect in the life of a Venetian; the nightlife. Whether it is just for drinks after supper, or to listen to some music or indeed to dance until the morning, these are the things that Venetians love to do on a regular basis.

Here are some personal suggestions on how to spend a truly fun and traditional Venetian night out!
CAMPO SANTA MARGHERITA
This square is one of the ritrovi in Venice, i.e. meeting places in the evenings for Venetians. It is full of good fun bars, such as the DuChamp, which always offers good drinks and snacks until 2am.
Opposite to the DuChamp, on the other side of the square, there is a tiny fabulous place called Pizza al Volo (Telephone +39-041-522-5430), which does the most amazing slices of pizzas to take away until 11pm; a must!
PARADISO PERDUTO
Cannaregio 2540
Fondamenta della Misericordia
Tel.: +39-041-720-581
Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
This is a Venetian milestone. One of the first late night places always frequented by Venetians. Located not too far away from the water bus stop of San Marcuola, this is a large, rustic Osteria with a crazily lively atmosphere, ideal to visit with a good number of friends for a laugh over a good glass of Prosecco or where to enjoy some fantastic Venetian seafood, such as the Bigoli in Salsa and / or the fried or grilled seafood. There is usually live music, such as jazz and blues, on certain evenings. The people running this place have maintained the local traditions here. I have great memories of this place, coming many times with friends and having great fun until closing time. An absolute must!
PASTICCERIA DOLCE VITA
San Polo 378
Closed on Sundays
To conclude the evening, if feeling up for some good fresh bakery, this patisserie opens from 4 in the morning (6am on Monday) and makes delicious croissants and pastries! It is located between the Rialto bridge and the fish market.
